About Us
Preserving Union’s past for future generations
Our Story
Founded in 1972
Dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Union and its people.
The Union Historical Society was founded by community members who recognized the importance of preserving and sharing the rich heritage of Union and the surrounding region. Today, that mission continues as we work to collect, protect, and interpret the stories, artifacts, and traditions that define our local history.
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining historical resources, caring for archival materials, and offering educational opportunities for residents and visitors alike. Through exhibits, programs, and research support, we strive to make the past accessible and meaningful for all generations.
Though small in size, our organization is supported by a committed group of volunteers and trustees who take pride in this work and in the community we serve. Our collections and programs help document the people, places, and events that have shaped Union’s identity and ensure that its history remains a living part of the present and future.
